WooCommerce Advanced Product Quantities for WordPress

The good stuff

What really clicked was being able to set min and max quantities per product - super simple. I have a bulk item that only sells in multiples of 10, so I set the step to 10. Now, if someone tries to add 7, the field auto-adjusts to 10. Same with minimums - I made sure people couldn’t buy less than 3 of a seasonal item. And it works across all product types: simple, variable, grouped, even affiliate products. Nice touch. The admin interface is clean enough to not feel overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to apply rules site-wide or by category. I also liked the custom messages - like “Please purchase in batches of 5” - which helps customers understand why they can’t just enter any number.

The not-so-good

It’s not perfect. There’s no built-in role-based restriction system, which means you can’t say “admins can buy 100, regular users max at 10” unless you do some extra work with other plugins. Also, the lack of version info and downloads makes me wonder if it’s still actively maintained. No official developer name either - kind of odd. And while it handles out-of-stock settings, it doesn’t give you granular control over backorders beyond basic toggles. If you’re managing complex inventory flows, this might not cut it. Plus, if you’re used to something like PPOM (which has more customization), this feels a bit more basic in comparison.

Bottom line

If you just need to enforce quantity rules - min, max, steps - without overcomplicating things, this plugin does the job. It’s lightweight, stable, and gets the job done. Not flashy, but reliable. For $0, it’s a solid choice. If you’re already using WooCommerce and want to avoid cart chaos, install it. But if you need advanced user roles or deep inventory logic, look elsewhere. Worth the download if you’re not chasing bells and whistles.
