The good stuff

The combat system is where it really clicks. It’s turn-based but not slow - you’ve got quick moves, special abilities, and timing-based dodges that make fights feel dynamic. I remember one boss fight against a giant robot pirate where we had to dodge attacks while setting up chain combos. It was chaotic in the best way. The story also holds up - it’s not just "go here, fight that" but actually gives each crew member moments that feel earned. Nami’s flashback scene during a storm? That one stuck with me. And the Sniper King Outfit Set? Yeah, I wore it every time I played. Feels cool, even if it doesn’t do anything gameplay-wise.

The not-so-good

It’s not perfect. The game gets a bit repetitive in later dungeons - same enemy types, same layouts. You’ll see the same chest spawns more than once, and the puzzles aren’t always clever. Also, no multiplayer. If you’re looking for co-op or online chaos, this isn’t it. And the music? Great in some parts, but there are stretches where it just loops without variation. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable after a few hours. And yeah, the developer’s unknown - that kind of vague info makes me wonder how long support will last.

If you’re a fan of One Piece and want a solid RPG that lets you live out your crew dreams on Xbox Series X|S, go for it. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s enjoyable and well put together.
