The good stuff

What actually surprised me was how smooth the mirroring felt. No lag, no stuttering during video playback. I streamed a YouTube tutorial from my phone to my desktop, and the audio synced up perfectly. The floating window is handy - you can resize it, move it around, and still use your computer normally. I used the screenshot feature mid-way through a presentation to grab a key moment on my phone, then marked it up with the Whiteboard tool. It’s not fancy, but it’s functional. And the hotkey support? Nice touch. I set a shortcut so I could toggle casting without touching the app. It’s kind of like ApowerMirror but simpler and free. If you’re okay with a minimal interface, this is solid.

The not-so-good

It’s not perfect. First off, both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi network - no way around that. That’s annoying if you’re at a coffee shop with guest access. Second, there’s a timeout after about 15 minutes of continuous casting. You have to reconnect manually. Not a dealbreaker, but it’s a pain if you’re doing a long demo. Also, the app doesn’t handle background apps well. If I try to cast while playing music in the background, sometimes the audio cuts out. And honestly, the “always-on-top” mode is glitchy on some monitors. It’s fine for casual use, but don’t expect pro-level reliability.

Bottom line

If you’re looking for a free, no-frills way to mirror your phone to your PC over Wi-Fi, LetsView for Mac - Download for Windows is worth a try. It’s not going to replace TeamViewer for remote control, but it does screen mirroring better than most free tools. Just know the limitations - same network only, occasional disconnects, and basic features.
